Congratulations to the following students who were chosen to place the Riverdale Middle School wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldiers in Arlington National Cemetery in May on the 8th grade Washington DC trip: Reydon Bishop, Taryn Headington, Isabella Penwell, and Grant Swavel. These students were chosen by submitting an essay on what it would mean to them, and why they should be chosen to be able to have the honor of placing the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns. Ms Lifer's Botany students have been learning about different plants that we eat and experimenting with different types of food and recipes. This is only able to happen with block scheduling where we have ample time to examine, cook, and taste the plants. Students have been able to try different foods, and regular food in different recipes. Students were able to utilize the longer periods by cooking and trying other groups dishes.
